The Firm is a product of a merger on 17 May 2007 between Ogetto and Company Advocates, and Omwega, Omanwa and Company Advocates. The founding partners of the Firm are Messrs. Kennedy Ogetto EBS and Gershom Otachi Bw’Omanwa. 


Mr Kennedy Ogetto left the firm in 2018 to take up an appointment as the Solicitor General of Kenya. In this role, he assists and supports the Attorney General to execute the duties of being the principal legal advisor to the government. Before assuming this position, he was a member of the board of Kenya Ports Authority and the chairperson of the Anti-Money Laundering Advisory Board.


 As of 2019, Mr Otachi is the current Chair of the National Land Commission. The Commission, created under the Constitution, is responsible for, among others, managing public land. Before this, he served as the chairperson of the Geothermal Development Corporation and the Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation.
